Benison Benker, 1888-1990

Son of Bendrick Benker, US Army cavalryman in WWI. Fascinated by his own family history, he loved to study history and science, and was one of the more learned and intelligent Benker sons. Following WWI, he married a girl in Germany and traveled Europe briefly before returning home. He converted from Methodism to Catholicism after returning from Germany. Raising his children Catholic, the Benkers became a Catholic family, save for Benaiah, who was set in his Methodist ways.
