Benedict Benker, 1909-1990

Son of Benison Benker, fighter pilot in WW2. Loved horses, but loved flying and aviation much more growing up. He was one of the more fun-loving and lighthearted Benker sons, having a talent for dancing and playing music. Jazz and swing, naturally, were his favorite, having grown up in the Roaring Twenties. He was mischievous and energetic in his youth, which was not particular pleasing to others around him. Benison sent him to Louisiana at age 16 to help him explore his interest in jazz music, and it was there that he met his wife, Violetta, during a soiree at her family's New Orleans chateau. As Violetta said, he always "took particular interest in French women".
